Pyramid Ceiling Design
In order to support roof without any load bearing walls a structural steel frame was designed and constructed to span the large bi-fold doors. Trusses could not be used for the roof design as we needed to create a void for the pyramid. The engineer called for large laminated timber beams which were hand pitched. The ceiling was then suspended from the roof frame using a light steel frame.
